The Jamison family, consisting of Bobby Jamison, his wife Sherilynn, and their daughter Madyson, vanished under mysterious circumstances on or after October 8, 2009, in Eufaula, Oklahoma, United States. They were last seen when they were reportedly considering purchasing a 40-acre plot of land near Red Oak, approximately 30 miles away from their home.

The family's disappearance sparked an investigation, indicating that they likely didn't disappear voluntarily. Their abandoned pickup truck was found a few days later in Latimer County, Oklahoma, near Kinta, with their malnourished dog inside but no sign of the family. Various personal belongings, including identification cards, wallets, mobile phones, a GPS system, and a significant sum of cash totaling about $32,000, were discovered in the truck, unusual for the Jamisons who were not known for carrying large amounts of cash.
Surveillance footage from their home showed the Jamisons making multiple silent trips between their vehicle and home, packing in a seemingly trance-like manner. Of particular interest was a brown briefcase Sherilynn placed in the vehicle, which has never been found along with her handgun.
In November 2013, skeletal remains of two adults and a child were found by hunters in Latimer County, 4 years after the family disappeared. The discovery was made less than 3 miles from where their truck was abandoned. While it was believed to be the missing family, confirmation was needed from the Oklahoma medical examiner. Through examinations, it was confirmed on July 3, 2014, that the remains were the Jamisons, but the cause of death couldn’t be determined due to decomposition.

Several theories emerged surrounding the family's disappearance, including speculation about them faking their deaths, being in witness protection, or experiencing foul play. Bobby's involvement in a lawsuit against his father and allegations of his father's criminal activities fueled suspicions, although law enforcement did not implicate him in the disappearance. Additionally, there were suggestions that the family might have been involved in drug-related activities, supported by the large amount of cash found and reports of strange behavior, including claims of seeing spirits and Bobby's alleged interest in the occult.
Despite extensive investigation and speculation, the circumstances surrounding the Jamison family's disappearance and death remain unresolved, leaving a haunting mystery that continues to perplex authorities and the public alike.
